I was all about fulfilling wishes this past weekend with this sweet girl!  Larkin won a full storybook session after 300 of her Facebook fans voted on her picture taken by yours truly in a Princess Mini Session early September. Oh, I can't wait to begin writing her special story and including images in it to complete her very own happily ever after! I hid a prop nest in the crab apple tree we were shooting under and her Mom thought it was real with real eggs!  I meant to surprise Larkin and surprised her Mom instead. 8 arrows to represent 8 years... this little miss just had a birthday! Her favorite character is Merida from Brave so this had to be done.. complete with wisps! A play on snow white but with a bit more drama, suspense and adventure!  This was fun to imagine and play along with her as she walked through the dark woods!  She loves horses and wishes for a horse of her own someday.  A real was not realis...

I had the great privilege of photographing two of the most beautiful girls I have ever laid eyes on.  What made this special was that the oldest little girl was diagnosed with autism earlier this year.  Her mother was so happy that "finally the world can see her smile!"  What a joy to be able to capture that moment for her and her family!  Baby girl just turned one and just started to walk so capturing that too in the same session is such a special feeling!  Thank you guys for letting me be part of this special moment and sharing your girls with me!

On Saturday, September 3, 2016 I threw a princess party and invited 6 little girls to get made up in gown and tiara and get their portraits taken to ramp up my new photography "Once Upon A Time" service offerings.  Without a doubt, I couldn't ask for more beautiful and fun little models! As part of being involved with these sessions, each little princess is competing to win their very own exclusive full Storybook Session with me!  This session includes: Up to a 2 hour session, on location 40 candid and posed images Up to 5 costume and prop changes (provided) 12x12 hard cover story album with a one of a kind story written just for the winner and illustrated with images from the session! I love this time of year!  It's the beginning of football, the leaves are changing, the temperature is cooler and the school year has begun!!  For seniors it means ruling the school and beginning to look forward to bright futures and leaving their childhood behind... I had the pleasure of taking Samantha's senior portraits this past weekend!  Weather was perfect... diffused lighting with the cloud cover, no wind, just awesome :) Sammie has such a fun sense of humor and is more comfortable in her skin than most seventeen year old girls I know!  Gotta love that smile!!! I just love these first words to a story... I think it's because for me, really good stories usually started this way!  In July, I had the priviledge of photographing the sweet girl pictured above and I'm also lucky enough to call her my great niece!  Her session was so much fun and so precious... it also turned into an awesome new idea for children 4-10 years old called storybook sessions that include up to a full 2 hours of on location photography time, provided costumes and props to wear and play with... ...and the best part!!!... ... a 12x12 hard cover album that includes a one of a kind story custom and personalized to the child with all illustrations being the best images from the session!   I did this for my niece and the reviews just from this precious girl were enough for me to want to do this for more children!  She loves her book and the only time she is quiet is when she is watching her slideshow of images set to music a...
