Boys Will Be Boys!! - Senior Spotlight 2017

Image
The only word that comes to mind when I think about Isiah's session is FUN !  I've known Isiah since he was little and boy has he grown up!   Isiah came all the way from Pueblo where he goes to Central High School and is quite the athlete.  He is looked up to by his friends and his parents couldn't be more proud of this superstar! The only stipulation to getting his pictures taken was that he could bring 2 of his closest friends... of course, I said "YES!" It was a beautiful fall day and we couldn't have asked for better scenery.  Isiah is quite outgoing and not very shy about anything!   When he isn't poking fun at his sisters, he is hanging with the guys.  Although, their sense of fun is a little different than what some might think!  Maybe we should have had second thoughts about getting all of them that close to the side of a canyon!  However, these 3 friends sure know how to show a girl a good time!   ...

2017 Senior Spotlight - Jmarie Portraits and Design

See why I say.... "SENIOR'S ROCK!!"  Meet Brianna... Brianna is one of my Senior Models representing the 2017 graduating senior class and her high school - Castle View!  Brianna is an amazing, beautiful young lady who aspires to go to college after graduation this May and plans to major in Pre-Med. The day of her session, it was very windy and so our location changed from downtown Castle Rock to a dance studio her Mom got permission to use.  It turned out to be perfect for us!  Brianna brought several outfits and I transformed a corner of one of the vacant dance studios into a portrait studio!  We did venture outside for a bit where we had cover from the wind and as you can see, the camera absolutely loved Brianna!! As we got to know one another, she shared that when she was young she used to imagine herself as a veterinarian.  She loves animals and wanted a job where she was around them all the time.  Her favorite class is Human anatom...

The Earle Clan

The Earle Family welcomed a new bundle of joy to the world this month... Sofia Rose!  I spent a morning with this sweet family and enjoyed every minute.  Big brother Xander, who is going on 3 was your typical toddler...active, defiant and absolutely adorable!  He spent most of the time posing in front of the camera only if sugar was involved and kept his parents on their toes! We started with family pictures, which was a welcome relief for Mommy who is typically taking the pictures of the family as opposed to sitting in front of the camera! We then took pictures of Mommy and Daddy individually with baby and big brother... I didn't know what Xander would possibly let me capture alone and with his baby sister, but boy, this kid is cute without even trying!! "Every superhero needs a sidekick!" Sofia's first photo shoot was almost as perfect as she is!! This was a fun shoot!  I truly enjoyed the experience a...

A dream is a wish your heart makes!

I was all about fulfilling wishes this past weekend with this sweet girl!  Larkin won a full storybook session after 300 of her Facebook fans voted on her picture taken by yours truly in a Princess Mini Session early September. Oh, I can't wait to begin writing her special story and including images in it to complete her very own happily ever after! I hid a prop nest in the crab apple tree we were shooting under and her Mom thought it was real with real eggs!  I meant to surprise Larkin and surprised her Mom instead. 8 arrows to represent 8 years... this little miss just had a birthday! Her favorite character is Merida from Brave so this had to be done.. complete with wisps! A play on snow white but with a bit more drama, suspense and adventure!  This was fun to imagine and play along with her as she walked through the dark woods!  She loves horses and wishes for a horse of her own someday.  A real was not realis...
