On the sunnyside of the street... Abling Family

Meet Mark, Shaunna and little Theo!   


I had the funnest time with this family trio!!  Shaunna requested a family portrait session for Mother's Day and we couldn't have done it on the a better day here in Colorado.  We met at Hudson Garden in the late afternoon (after Theo's nap) and he was such a charmer!

 Theo found a new cuddle friend in the teddy bear I gave him while his parents enjoyed their time watching their little guy explore and taking in some beautiful warmth and sunshine!

 I don't know what Mark was saying but Theo and Shaunna thought it was amusing... 
just look at those smiles! 

Mark and Shaunna have a long history together (no pun intended...lol... they are both history teachers!)  Their story has taken them on many adventures together bringing them to one of the most fun, challenging and rewarding adventures of all... parenthood! Theo keeps them busy and he has a little bit of both of them in good looks, charm and personality all in one sweet package! 

This tree screamed playtime and peek a boo....





A little spin around with Mom and stop in front of the camera made Theo a happy boy... 
LOVE those smiles!! 

We tried very hard to get close to the bunnies hopping around various areas of the park.  When we did spot a couple of them, naturally they only ran away and hid, so as a photography artist, I couldn't disappoint this adorable baby boy... so, here you go Theo, a whole family of bunnies just for you!!

 
 When we weren't looking for bunnies Theo enjoyed a newfound freedom and a long walk
around the park!


Toward the end of our time together, Theo was ready for a snack and story time.  
Daddy tells this story so well!!!


An amazing afternoon with an amazing family.... I enjoyed every minute!   Thank you guys for letting me tag along on your family outing and capturing a few intimate family moments of you!!

The only word that comes to mind when I think about Isiah's session is FUN !  I've known Isiah since he was little and boy has he grown up!   Isiah came all the way from Pueblo where he goes to Central High School and is quite the athlete.  He is looked up to by his friends and his parents couldn't be more proud of this superstar! The only stipulation to getting his pictures taken was that he could bring 2 of his closest friends... of course, I said "YES!" It was a beautiful fall day and we couldn't have asked for better scenery.  Isiah is quite outgoing and not very shy about anything!   When he isn't poking fun at his sisters, he is hanging with the guys.  Although, their sense of fun is a little different than what some might think!  Maybe we should have had second thoughts about getting all of them that close to the side of a canyon!  However, these 3 friends sure know how to show a girl a good time!   ...

The sweetest moment...

I had the great privilege of photographing two of the most beautiful girls I have ever laid eyes on.  What made this special was that the oldest little girl was diagnosed with autism earlier this year.  Her mother was so happy that "finally the world can see her smile!"  What a joy to be able to capture that moment for her and her family!  Baby girl just turned one and just started to walk so capturing that too in the same session is such a special feeling!  Thank you guys for letting me be part of this special moment and sharing your girls with me!
